Projects we have been working on recently @ litoria consulting:

New Hope Group – Environmental Approvals Strategy

Litoria Consulting has been engaged to undertake a review of existing environmental assessment reporting as part of the closure and rehabilitation of a former New Hope Group mine at Chuwar, Queensland. The outcomes of the review were then used to develop an environmental approvals strategy including identification of likely environmental approvals (local, State and Commonwealth) required for subsequent development of the site. The purpose of the environmental approvals strategy was to evaluate opportunities to best achieve New Hope’s desired outcomes for the site whilst having regard to their statutory environmental responsibilities.

Somerset Street – Koala Conservation Advice

Environmental scientists at Litoria Consulting were recently engaged to prepare advice for a client in relation to a residential subdivision.  The advice was prepared in support of a development application to Logan City Council and related to the potential impacts of the development of the site on koala habitat values and koala conservation. Our team of environmental scientists conducted a site inspection to assess existing site features and undertook koala survey and habitat tree assessment. We then provided advice on koala conservations and wildlife management measures to support the client’s development application.

Pearson Road Trunk Sewer – Environmental Management

Following the successful delivery of all environmental planning approvals for the construction of a trunk sewer on the Gold Coast, Litoria Consulting completed construction documentation, tendering and tender assessment of environmental management and rehabilitation works. During the three-month construction phase, Litoria’s environmental managers have provided diligent contract administration and environmental auditing services. Collectively, our careful approach to planning, documentation and diligent contract administration has resulted in the elimination of errors and fee variations – ensuring the project runs on time and budget.
