Projects we have been working on recently @ litoria consulting:

Owen Creek Developments – Waterway and Wetland Rehabilitation Plan

Environmental Scientists at Litoria Consulting have recently completed a waterway and wetland rehabilitation plan for the relocation of a waterway on the Sunshine Coast  that would be relocated as part of an approved development. Litoria’s team of scientists integrated State and local planning permit conditions, knowledge of environmental legislation and expertise in waterway rehabilitation and natural channel design to deliver a plan that will minimise environmental impacts of the works, result in a net increase in long-term riparian vegetation on the site and reduce ‘edge effects’ by consolidating development within the site.

Sunnybank Community and Sports Club – Vegetation and Construction Environmental Management

Over the past 2 months Litoria’s environmental scientists have been working with the Sunnybank Community Sports Club to reduce hazards associated with trees within the Club’s lease area, which is located on Council-owned parkland. This project involved an arboricultural assessment of trees to support an application to trim and remove hazardous vegetation protected under Brisbane City Council’s (BCC) Natural Assets Local Law 2003 (NALL), whilst maintaining the long-term condition and vigour of the trees. The application involved liaison and negotiation with several Council departments to ensure that all stakeholders had input into the proposed vegetation management works. The application submitted by Litoria was approved by Council; allowing the Club to reduce hazards, improve public safety and ensure the long-term viability of the trees.
