Kirkwood, Gladstone
Environmental Scientists at Litoria Consulting were engaged to undertake an assessment of threatened flora and fauna in Gladstone to determine if a proposed development required referral under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (Cth). Targeted surveys were undertaken for the Koala, Northern Quoll, Greater Glider and a number of flora species. With over 20 years of experience in threatened species survey and habitat assessment, Litoria Consulting were able to design a survey methodology to thoroughly assess the subject land and advise our client on the regulatory pathways to achieve compliance with Commonwealth legislative requirements. By engaging Litoria, our clients are able to rely on the best research, technology and advice when assessing impacts to threatened species on their development sites.
Elimbah, Moreton Bay
Litoria Consulting have been working with landowners to undertake a detailed ecological assessment of land located at Elimbah, Moreton Bay. The results of the assessment indicated that ecological values mapped under State and local mapping and databases differed to the observed values. As such, we have prepared mapping change requests and submitted these to the relevant government departments. Once approved, the updated mapping will reflect actual on-ground ecological values, providing improved conservation outcomes and a smoother assessment process for future development applications.
