Project Update – New Farm Park Coffee Hut
The New Farm Park Coffee Hut is now open for business! – News Story.
Deputy Mayor Adrian Schrinner noted that the final development had to address several heritage and environmental constraints including the impact of the development on surrounding trees within New Farm Park.
Litoria Consulting’s environmental and design advice was a key component in addressing the heritage and environmental constraints present on site. This advice included:
- Advice on the proposed development location and footprint to reduce impacts on surrounding trees;
- Advice on tree pruning and construction methods during the development stage;
- Environmental compliance assessments throughout the development stage; and,
- Advice on the use of permeable pavement to allow for better transmission of water to surrounding trees root systems
