| Why: | Litoria was commissioned by Belmont Private Hospital to prepare a Bushfire Hazard Assessment and Management Plan to determine if a proposed development of a new hospital wing could safely be accommodated on site, and identify bushfire management measures to achieve compliance with the State Planning Policy, City Plan 2014 and AS3959-2009. |
| Outcomes: | Litoria’s scientists undertook field investigations and spatial analysis of bushfire hazard factors on the site. The results of the assessment demonstrated that the proposed development was at risk of bushfire attack, and as such, our scientists made design and construction recommendations to the client to reduce bushfire attack risk and achieve compliance with the relevant bushfire codes. |
